Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee the day-to-day management of our platform.

This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our online store and gaming activities, managing programs, and providing financial oversight.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a keen understanding of both operational and financial management within the online retail and gaming sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience of a minimum 8 years in an operations management role, preferably within the online retail or gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial software).

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of Afriprize, ensuring the platform functions smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational standards.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues affecting platform performance.
  • Program Management:
  • Lead and manage key programs related to luxury shopping and gaming experiences.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to launch and optimize new features and promotions.
  • Ensure that all programs are executed in line with the company's strategic objectives and customer expectations.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor financial performance and report on key metrics to the senior management team.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement financial controls to optimize profitability.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Customer Experience:
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is a top priority by managing service quality and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and engagement with the platform.
