Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
- At least fiveyears’ work experience in a structured organization
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles
- Sound knowledge of tax and pension policies
- Expert in the use of Microsoft packages (especially Excel)
- Proactive with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to deploy technology in discharge of duties
- Knowledge and application of accounting software
- Good communication skills (Verbal and written)
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Good with numbers, detail oriented
- Experience within school environment will be an added advantage
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the billing system to ensure timely and accurate dispatch ofbills toparents
- Timely generation and dispatch of termly bills
- Following up with parents for timely payment
- Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records for easy retrieval
- Payments reconciliation
- Imprest management
- Bank reconciliations
- Tax and pension remittance and reconciliation
- Submitting routine accounting reports
- Collaborate with other departments to improve the procedures that increase services to parents and as well strengthen the administrative operations
